On this date ten years ago, an album was released that I was very excited for. It was an album with songs about Star Wars, Grunge icons, jewish people, microscopic organisms, trash tv talk shows, horoscopes, computers, cross dressing truck drivers, overweight people, and children named Superfly.
That album of course was Moist's Mercedes 5 and Dime.

Okay, so I've been slowly working on my crazy flash animation for the Tournament of Flash Artists. As stated before the theme is Discovering a New Ability, and this is what I have so far:

Right now I haven't really explored the topic at all and I'm not really sure with where I'm going with this. Also this thing is due on Friday evening and I only have evenings to work on this. I have gotten a lot more done had I not been sick for the entirety of yesterday.
Now for clarifications sake: "The Erots" is a convenience store, "Snack Vials" are 20 oz Sodas, and "The Cube" is a cube shaped vehicle.
Originally, I had this idea of them going to the Erots and one of them instead of buying a regular soda, purchases an energy drink. He gets loaded on caffeine and eventually discovers that if he puts a sock on, he can be a sock puppet. So he ditches the others in search of fame, but eventually he spends too much time in the sock and turns into a foot. But right now, that plot seems too long for me to do in the next few days, and I'm still not completely sure on how it would end.
Another option I have thought of which would shorten things would be to scrap the dialogue at the beginning and just have the one hand tell the other two that I discovered something that he could do with a sock and go from there.
So yeah, if anyone has any ideas, that would be helpful. |

So because it's summer time I decided to make a summer mix tape.

This one mostly consists of remixes and covers mostly in the electronic and reggae vein. I'm probably going to make a few more in the later weeks that are probably on the more rock and pop side with more Plymouth dealers involved if you know what I mean. |

Well people, it's begun. The 2009 Albino BlackSheep Tournament of Flash Artists. Basically, I am competing against 44 other people in this first round to make a Flash video by June 26th that doesn't blatantly infringe on copyrights, which will be quite the challenge for me.
The topic is:
Discovering a New Ability
Right now my initial reaction to this topic after 45 minutes is to make something incredibly auto-biographical/self-referential, but we'll see. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd like to hear them. |

So, I've been nominated to participate in this year's Tournament of Flash Artists at Albino Black Sheep. And I've accepted the nomination.
It doesn't start till June, but I can say that this is going to be interesting. Especially given the fact that I'm not allowed any copyright infringement. |
